So, yeah…

I’m not very good at keeping this updated. But, then again, I don’t do much ‘cept sit around. My best friend Sabrina is visiting me this week. We are going to dye each others’ hair sometime. I’m dying mine the same color that I dyed it last December. So that should be fun. My mom will also be visiting this weekend. I must remember to tell her to bring Phantasmagoria. I’ve had a huge urge to play it. Don’t really know why.

Discovered I really couldn’t play King’s Quest V on my comp anymore.

I thought I logged off before I went to bed last night, but I guess I didn’t because my poor comp was going crazy with messages this morning. Oopsie. Anyway, someone said that no one has left any comments in here because there was no place to leave them, so I come check and my commenting system has disappeared! Course, it’s done this before and I’m sure it will be back, but now I just look nuts to everyone because of my last post. So, note to everyone: I AM NOT CRAZY! IT IS USUALLY THERE! Hehehe..

Well, I had an appointment today to try to see if I could get into that CS class…but I can’t.

So, I guess I’m gonna end up taking another math class this semester. So, that’s two math, one CS, one English, and one other. Blah. That means there is the potential for ending up with a prof I don’t want next semester, plus I will probably be taking three CS classes in the spring too.

Today’s life lesson: Pay attention to where you park.

Yesterday my car got towed. Had to walk two miles to the towing place to pay $90 to get it back. It really was not fun at all. I’m beginning to think my car is bad luck.

I saw Legally Blonde 2 last night. It was really cute. I don’t know if I liked it or the first one better, because it’s been a really long time since I’ve seen the first one. I need to watch it again.

Yeah..it’s been awhile…

Today I figured out that I was going to be taking more hours than I really needed to this semester, so I dropped one of my English classes. For some reason, I had it in my head that I need to take 18 hours every semester just to graduate in Fall 2004. But I don’t. I don’t even need to take 18 hours ONE semester to graduate in Fall 2004. Dunno what I was thinking.

Anyway, I don’t know if I’m going to be able to take one of the CS classes that I need this semester. Because I withdrew from a math class last year that is a prerequisite for it…and I am going to take that again this semester, but since it’s a prereq, I don’t know if I can take the CS class. If that makes any sense. I hope I can. I really want the prof who is teaching it this fall.

It stormed last night. I went for a walk in it. It was great. I love storms.

I’m painting my nails right now. Getting ready to go over to the World’s Fair Park to hear the orchestra play at 8.

Forgot to mention this yesterday: I got a call from this company who is looking for someone to help out with a software conversion project, and she said that she found my resume on UTK’s website and wanted to know if I was interested. Problem is, it’s a six month-long full-time position. And I have school in the fall. She said she didn’t know if they were going to be able to work around schedules; she was just trying to find people who were interested, but she would get more details and let me know. (Which is totally strange, if she was getting all these people off of UT’s website…don’t most of us have school in the fall??) Anyway, it would be so nice to have a job.

I was rolling on the floor just reading the sample pages. It was a nice thing to lift my day. Hehe. Oh, and for the curious, How to Lose a Guy… was hilarious. Might have to buy that. Also finished those exercises. Onto Chapter 14!

It is way too hot out today.

I was out and about for about two hours, doing stuff like grocery shopping and going to the bank, and I thought I was gonna die. Then I got back and checked the temperature (cause I swear it felt about 90) and it was only 80! I think that’s crazy. I also rented How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days while I was out and I plan to watch that tonight.

I’ve been really antsy today. I can’t sit still. I don’t know what my problem is. I’ll start doing something, like watching TV or working on the exercises of chapter 13 of Learning Perl, but I can only do something for like five minutes before I decide to do something else. I was playing Solitaire before I decided to post something new in here. I hope I finish this before I get bored with it. Hehe..

I had a weird dream about Reese Witherspoon last night. I was watching Legally Blonde 2 with her or something. And the weird thing is, I think I had this same dream when the first Legally Blonde came out.

Well, tomorrow is the Fourth of July. I’m not going home this year (since I was just there for three weeks), so I think I’m gonna go down to the World’s Fair Park and watch the fireworks or something. That’s the only thing that seems to be going on, at least that I could find.

Welcome to my blog! I got bored…

Let me introduce myself. My name is Jessica. I’m 21 and a senior at UT Knoxville. I am majoring in Computer Science and minoring in English (such a weird combo, I know). I’m into computers, reading, and music. That’s about all I do.

Not much has been going on in my life. I wrecked my car and had to get an entire new side put on. Then someone broke into it and stole all my CDs and my CD player. My cat died at age 10. I’ve lost all my friends. You know, the usual.

The crappy thing about having all my CDs stolen is that now I have all these empty cases. And you can’t just go somewhere and buy just the CD. No, you have to pay $5 for a used CD with case and booklet, when all you need is the CD. The other crappy thing is I just got the new Jewel CD that came out less than a month ago and got to listen to it, oh, about 5 times before they took it.

I am thankful that they didn’t see my Revis CD that was not really hidden. Of course, I still don’t have a CD player in my car anymore. So I’m stuck listening to the radio and all the crap it plays. But I’m not bitter.

School starts in less than two months. Not looking forward to that. I have a nice 18 hour load again this semester, complete with two Comp Sci classes, two English classes, and two classes that I wish I didn’t have to take. If I am still alive in December, then I think I could live through anything.

BTW, I’ve tested this blog on several browsers, but can’t get it to look right on Konqueror (grr…), so use Mozilla or Netscape or IE or something if you want it to look right.
