So, I’m sick.
I have to go to the doctor tomorrow. I may have meningitis or something. Stiff neck, headaches, nausea…no fever that I can tell, but it could happen. I went home after one class today. I just couldn’t sit there. I kept feeling like I was going to pass out.
I got a fire extinguisher today. The apartment complex was going around checking them, and I didn’t have one, so now I do. I haven’t used it yet, of course.
I’ve been kind of relaxing today. I can’t think too much because it makes my head hurt, but I did manage to whip up the random image thingy on the front page of my site. That’s the first PHP I’ve ever written by myself, and I’m rather proud of it.

Waiting for class to start.
I don’t feel good at all. I wonder if it is because of (a) all the Midol I’ve taken, (b) the fact that I haven’t been getting a lot of sleep because of my neck, or (c) something else. I don’t really want to be here. I feel like I’m gonna pass out any moment now.

Midol is a wonder drug.
My neck pain has only gotten worse, so I was wandering around the apartment yesterday, wanting to go to Wal-mart to get a pain reliever but thinking I am perhaps not well enough to drive since I couldn’t move all that much. I went and stared inside my medicine cabinet. I had a few allergy pills and a bottle of Midol. The Midol says that it helps relieve backaches and headaches. I figured since my neck is located between my back and my head, I should try it. So I took two. After awhile, I could move my head. It didn’t stop the pain completely, but it at least allowed me to get some homework done. And I still haven’t done my 494 lab (which is now due on Friday).
Anyway, I also got the new photo gallery done. Now I just need to come up with a design for the site, redo the front page with some php magic, and then get everything else to match it.
My internet connection went out last night around midnight. Bellsouth was supposed to be doing some sort of “enhancement” and “transition” which required changing the way you login. Anyway, they sent everyone out an email a few weeks ago and claimed that when this happened, it would only be down for “1-2 minutes.” I can only suppose this is what they were doing last night, but I waited for an hour and a half for my connection to come back before I finally just went to bed. I, then, of course, got a ton of IMs on my phone from people wondering where I had gone to. Yeah, sometimes the IM forwarding can be kind of annoying.
I have done a lot of contemplating on my life recently. I may or may not write more about this later, but it has made me realize a lot of things about myself, both good and bad. But that’s a whole nother post in itself, and I have to get ready for class soon.

Hmm….
Have you ever noticed when you are expecting for something to happen, it never does, and when you don’t expect something, it happens? So if you try not to expect it, will it happen because you don’t expect it or will it not because you were only trying not to expect it, but secretly were?
Life’s tough questions.
How can this mean anything to me / If I really don’t feel anything at all?

Back to the grind…
Had a quiz and a test today. Didn’t get much studying done for either of them, since I ended up having plans last night. I’m thinking maybe low Bs/high Cs on both. I know I could have done better, but studying is so boring. Really, someone pass the motivation!
I have my second lab due in 494 on Thursday. I am not letting myself do anything until it is finished. Starting tomorrow. Tonight I am relaxing.
Also, as soon as I find some motivation, I am going to design a nice front page for this site and then do my blog up to match it. I just gotta come up with something. Maybe I need to dig out the ol’ PHP book and do something cool. Hmm…
My neck is killing me. I think I must have been sleeping wrong the past two nights or something. I can barely move my head. Ouch.

Puddle of Mudd so rocked!!

The doors were supposed to open at 8:00, so we went down there about 30 mins early so we could be sure to get a good view. We stood outside in the cold for 30 minutes, instead of going into Tonic. Then when we got inside, we decided to go over to Tonic and get drinks anyway. We are silly. We went back over to Blue Cats then, and I talked to some random people that were standing around. I vaguely remember telling them all to use Linux. Anyway, so Smile Empty Soul came on at about 9:00. I only know one of their songs, but they were pretty cool. After that, Puddle of Mudd came on. I have never screamed so much at a concert before. I was totally into it (er, or the alcohol was totally into it…one of the two). I can’t remember all the songs they played. They definitely played all their hits, and “She Hates Me” was part of the encore. I couldn’t see much (being short sucks sometimes), but it was still very much awesome! After the concert was over, I bought a t-shirt, Sabrina called our cab, and then I went and talked to everyone in the bathroom. Heh. When we were waiting for the cab, this guy came up to us and started talking. And he gave us Puddle of Mudd guitar picks!! I tried to talk him into letting us meet the band, but then our cab showed up.
Overall, it was a great night!!

Ahh…
Party was good.
Sabrina and I were on a team for Scene It? and Cranium. We won Scene It? but lost Cranium. We were also on a team with Chris for Taboo, and we won that.
They were all very close games, though (well, we weren’t that close at all in Cranium actually…but I did learn that I can’t spell that well after I’ve been drinking–especially backwards).

Brina and I went dress shopping at White Lace and Promises today. She tried on a bunch and fell in love with two. I also tried on one bridesmaids’ gown.

As I sit here on campus doing absolutely nothing, I think about all the things that I need to be doing.
I’m not doing anything right now (even though I’m starving and, frankly, very bored), because I would have to come back to campus in less than two hours and the possibility of finding a decent parking spot would be very low because of the basketball game. So while I still have a halfway decent parking space, I think I will just stick around here and think of how incredibly hungry I am.
Anyway, things I need to do:
* Clean, clean, clean, and clean some more.
* Do laundry.
* Study for medieval studies test on Tuesday.
* Study for CS311 quiz on Tuesday.
* Do CS311 homework (due Tues.).
* Do CS365 homework (due Tues.).
* Do CS494 lab (due Thurs.).
* Go grocery shopping for tomorrow night.
* Clean some more.
* Eat.
* Figure out what’s going on next week.
* Find some time to wax my legs.
I really need to find some food. Or money.

So it’s Tuesday. One more day down.
494 lab doesn’t look too bad. Just adding on to the last one and generating SQL statements. Will start on that tomorrow, probably. Part one of my 365 lab is due on the 26th. Will start on that…eventually. I perhaps need to flip through “XML in a Nutshell” before doing that one.
I finally got some quarters, so I can do laundry. I haven’t done laundry in–well, you don’t want to know. Tomorrow I need to run by the post office before I go to work.
I am also still attempting to clean the apartment. It is really slow going. One half of the living room is almost clean. Well, I can see the floor now anyway.
If anyone sees any motivation laying around, will you please pass it on?

Umm..yeah. Wireless is still a no go. No one has a clue.
Bought my medieval studies and CS365 books today. Bye bye $200.
TiVo seems to be enjoying his 100 extra gigs. I now get about 20 episodes of Full House and Saved by the Bell per day.
I can’t wait till this weekend! In addition to the board game party on Friday and the Puddle of Mudd concert on Sunday, I get to go watch my best friend try on wedding dresses as well as look at maid of honor dresses.
So that will be exciting!!
I perhaps need to start on my 494 lab before next Wednesday.
