Finally got my TiVo set up on my network.

Which required installing a special ethernet card, installing crap on TiVo’s hard drive (and all the annoyance that comes with my defunct motherboard and unlocking the drive, etc etc), and all that. But it’s done now. So I have no need for a home phone any longer.

Back from Six Flags…

We arrived in Atlanta around 7 pm (after wasting endless time at Wal-mart, in traffic, and going the wrong way a few times). We met up with Frances and went to the park. We immediately headed over to the Superman and got in line. An hour and a half later, we were to the front. Then the ride broke down. Then it was fixed. Then it broke down. Then it was fixed. Then it was our turn. Then it broke down. Then it was fixed. We finally got to ride it, but for some reason it wasn’t nearly as AMAZING as last time.

After that, we went on Acrophobia, since it had been closed when we went in July. It was okay, but I remember the Hellevator at Kentucky Kingdom being a little better. After that, it was Batman and Batman again. Then it was 11 pm and the park was closed.

The next day, Joe showed up and he and Frances headed into the park earlier than Ben and me and got a Q-bot. When we finally ventured out of the hotel and into the park, it was about 3 pm. We ate and made plans to meet up with them after they got off the Mindbender. So, when we did, we got in line for the Georgia Scorcher, another ride we had skipped last time. We waited in line maybe about two hours for it. It was a stand-up coaster and definitely a ton of fun.

After that, Frances and Joe had to go ride Superman (their Q-bot time was up) so Ben and I went on the Ninja. We wanted to go on Batman again after that, but it was closed, so we went on some smaller stuff, like the parachute drop, the swings, and this spinny thing inside a dome. We had a lot of fun. Then we went back to the hotel, where we managed to stay up till 3 pm talking with Frances and Joe.

It was a really fun trip. Pictures, as always, can be found with the others.

The pumpkin is dead.

I came home from work today and found the pumpkin…dead. Water or juice of some sort covered the coffee table, soaking my Sims 2 strategy guide. Luckily, my laptop wasn’t on the table. I don’t know what happened but I suspect the cat may be involved.

My birthday is in less than a month.

So I guess I need to start thinking about what I want to do to celebrate. I’m going to be 23. That just sounds old to me. Aging should stop at 21.

Anyway, for those of you looking for gift ideas (not saying you have to get me something but several people have asked), here’s my Amazon wishlist: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/2I8OBRR8B74UY. I keep it fairly updated and I guess I’ll stop buying stuff of it for the next couple months so there’s no chance of me buying something that someone is getting me. There’s many things on it that haven’t been released yet, but I think most of them at least come out before Christmas. Also, if you feel extra generous, I’d really like a widescreen TV. :D

Six Flags in four days! Yay!

It’s pumpkin carving day!

Check out our ultra-spooky pumpkin! And notice, how in the picture taken with the flash, the ghosts seem drawn to it. ;)

Scary!!! Not as scary!!!

And for some humor, here’s a couple pictures I took of Lydia when I gave her a bath a few weeks ago. And one from where she randomly fell asleep inbetween the couch cushions.

More Sims 2 gems…now where did I leave off?

First of all, there have been quite a few glitches in the game, which I highly enjoy taking pictures of, because they are usually pretty funny. I’ve seen floating babies, two people in one, twisted arms, and naked men on the ceiling….

Floating baby Floating baby Guy and girl as one Twisted arm Twisted arm Twisted arm Naked man alert!!

And as for the families…

Evil Ben soon moved into the neighborhood to create some trouble. However, he seemed to have troubles of his own.

The Evil Family Aahhh! That didn't look fun.

Then the Young Family moved in. This family consisted of Rick, his wife Darla, their kid, and Rick’s sister Stephanie. Darla, however, was secretly in love with Stephanie, and soon left Rick for her. They had a commitment ceremony and adopted a little girl.

The Young Family The joining of Darla and Stephanie

Kaylynn and Steve got a divorce. Steve moved out and almost immediately married Tina, who had just moved into the neighborhood with her teenage daughter Maria.

The Lafferty Family

Kaylynn then married up with Daniel Pleasant, who had recently divorced from his wife Mary-Sue. They had a daughter named Wendy (this makes three kids for her, counting my brother’s two). But, if you remember, Kaylynn is in love with practically every man in the neighborhood and it wasn’t long before Daniel caught her cheating and moved out. While they were separated, she got pregnant again, this time with Evil Ben’s child. It was a girl, complete with Evil Ben’s red eyes, and she named her Sorsha. Then she had a child by Trent Reznor, who was named Trent Jr. But he, sadly, was taken away by the social worker. So she had another child by Evil Ben, another girl named Angel. Evil Ben came and took his children. Saddened by this, she had another child by Trent, also named Trent Jr. This one turned out to be a prodigy on the drums and won a competition in the elementary school band. Then Kaylynn met Rick Young and had a daughter named Tiffany by him. Finally, she met some random Townie named Joe Carr and had two kids, Tyrone and Hannah. Yes, Kaylynn had 10 kids overall. Ouch. I was too busy going crazy to take any pictures of this.

My dad died of old age. My mom went nuts after that happened since it was one of her Fears. Sadly, her Wants now are to fall in love and remarry. That’s just not going to happen. She will have to remain in the world of talking to bags of flour.

Mom went nuts

And for some reason, my son drives a really nice car…as I discovered when he came to pick up one of Kaylynn’s kids for a night out.

How come my car isn't this nice?

That’s all for now. :)
