Will it never end?

Okay, so it’s the last day in November and even though we’ve moved boxes and boxes of stuff over to the new apartment, the old apartment still looks the same. The piles never go down. I don’t know what to do. On top of all this, I’m sick again. I just want to go back to bed.

I went ahead and gave Ben part of his Christmas present last night. I’d had it in my possession since October and had been planning to get it for him since June, and I just couldn’t wait another month. It’s a Star Wars Force FX Lightsaber, Darth Vader’s. Hehe. He had a lot of fun playing with it last night.

Okay, here’s some updates…

I’m almost completely moved into the new apartment. I still have a bunch of little stuff at the old place that I have to get moved over before the end of the month. We got a U-haul on the 20th to move furniture over and the guys somehow ended up getting it stuck between a tree and a picnic table. Luckily the table was there, or it would have gone into the river. We had to call a tow truck to get it out. Lesson learned: Do not try to turn a fully loaded U-haul around on a hill covered with wet grass and mud.

So anyway, all the furniture is over there. I’ll take some pictures and post them when I get completely done.

Since the new apartment doesn’t allow pets at all, I took Lydia to stay with my parents in Clarksville for a little while. They have two cats, Fred and Critter, and they are slowly trying to get them all used to each other. Hopefully by the time I go back for Christmas, they will be living in perfect harmony.

I’m probably going to try to maybe have a board game party after the new year, sometime before school starts.

Almost done with my Christmas shopping.

Oh, yeah. And I’m in love. :)

I never thought it was possible to be this happy….

Stabbing Westward, “Angel”

I believed that love was sacred
As I dove blindly into her sea
You see, that warm embrace felt more like drowning
As endless waves crashed over me
She was an insatiable black hole
Feeding off my mind and off my soul
I find love humilating
A sick and desperate need that drives me
God I hope I never feel again

But I’ve never been loved by an angel
I’ve never felt anything so pure
I’ve never been loved by an angel
Until tonight, when your heaven filled my world

She showed me love could lift me higher
With a kiss she repaired these broken wings
She revived my fading spirit
Restored my faith in everything
I have never felt I had a home
Even in a crowd I felt alone
I’d almost given up on life
I believed it’s all a lie
And never thought I’d ever feel again

But I’ve never been loved by an angel
I’ve never felt anything so pure
I’ve never been loved by an angel
Until tonight, when your heaven filled my world

I believed in nothing
But you believed in me
I thought that life was worthless
But you told me I’m a star

But I’ve never been loved by an angel
I’ve never felt anything so pure
I’ve never been loved by an angel
Until tonight, when your heaven filled my world
Until tonight, when your heaven filled my world

You learn something new every day….

Today I learned that I have been misspelling the word “marshmallow” wrong my entire life. I mean, you say “mellow” so wouldn’t it be spelled like that? Who says “mallow”? And why did I never know it was spelled like this?

Recommend some Xbox games…

So I bought myself an Xbox for my birthday, along with Fable and the Urbz. Now I’m kind of stumped as to what other games to get. I see Worms 3D is out, but I don’t know whether I should get it for console or PC. Beyond Good & Evil looks pretty cool, and I’m obligated to buy Halo 2. Also, I know Knights of the Old Republic is good. But other than that….

So here’s what I like when it comes to video games:
- I don’t like sports games. The Xbox came with three. So I have enough.
- I don’t like games where you just constantly kill things and don’t do much else.
- I like good plots.
- I like puzzles.
- I like simulation games.
- Cute is good.

So…recommend!

Birthday party recap…

We arrived at Chuck E. Cheese around 8:00 to find it extemely crowded. We immmediately commandeered a table by the stage that didn’t have a reserved sign on it. It still had balloons and a cake stand from the last party, so we took full advantage of the free festive decorations. Everyone started arriving soon after, and I donned my Happy Birthday tiara. We ate some pizza and watched as the other tables, full of kids having birthdays, demanded Chuck E. and then attacked him when he finally appeared. After all the kids got their birthday stuff out of the way, everyone sang happy birthday to me and I blew out the candles on my cake. I also opened my cards and gifts. Then it was onto the games.

When everyone was done, we pooled all our tickets together. We had 415. Not enough for anything than maybe a tiny basketball or soft mallet. Then they got the idea that I should have this crazy Plasma lamp that cost 4000 tickets. So the tickets we had were subtracted from it and they paid for the rest of it, heh.

After that, it was onto Urban Bar. I wasn’t really in a drinking mood which seemed to upset everyone since I didn’t want to do a shot. They were threatening to pour alcohol down my throat and didn’t understand why I didn’t want to drink on my birthday. Eh. I also managed to knock over the one drink I had and spill it all over the table (see the happy napkin in the pictures). We stayed there until about 1:30 am.

After a bit of discussion, we went over to Chance and Kelly’s house to hang out for a little while. Then we headed over to Fairbanks. The music there was pretty cool and as soon as we got there some random guy asked to borrow our glowsticks and performed for us. That was pretty cool. I need to be proficient in glowstick tricks. There weren’t a whole lot of people dancing and those that were weren’t really all that great. But it was amusing to watch if nothing else. We stayed there till about 5 am.

All in all, I had a pretty good birthday. :)

Birthday party tomorrow!

I’m pretty excited. We’re starting at Chuck E. Cheese, then going on to get some drinks, and ending up at Fairbanks for some techno. Wheeee… Many pictures will come sometime after tomorrow night.

I’m also in the process of moving. Fun…

Making the ultimate techno/trance cd…help.

Okay, I want to compile all my favorite techno and trance songs onto one cd for the sake of convenience. Except I’m having trouble thinking of enough songs to fill it up, so please recommend some. I’ve probably overlooked some I really like, so suggest anything. Here’s what I’ve got so far, so you can get an idea of what I like and stuff:

The Crystal Method: “Trip Like I Do”
The Cynic Project: “Structure,” “Trance Experience,” “Sidewinder,” and “Grid ]|[”
Darude: “Sandstorm”
Infected Mushroom: “Nothing Comes Easy,” “Ratio Schmatio,” “Bust A Move”

I have like three Infected Mushroom albums that I have only listened to like once, so I may find some good stuff on them. Also I know there are some Orbital songs I really like, but I can’t think of the names of any of them, heh. But all suggestions are welcome!

Almost 23….

My birthday is getting closer. Less than two weeks.

If you know me at all, then you probably know my birthdays are usually disasters. In an effort to remedy this and to deny my true age, I’m throwing my birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese next Saturday. Of course, afterwards we’ll all end up going to a bar or something, but I’m going to begin my 23rd year with good pizza, fun arcade games, and a guy dressed up in a mouse costume.
