I added a new cosplay section to the site.

I wanted to keep my cosplay pictures separate from the general photo gallery. There’s not much there right now, but I am hopefully getting some sewing stuff for Christmas, so I can get started on these costumes. My Aeris costume (that I wore for Halloween) is basically done. It needs a little editing (mainly the dress needs to be taken in a couple inches, the cuffs need to be attached to the jacket better, and I need a wig) and then I will go take some good pictures of it to go in there.

I currently plan to start on my Fuu costume as soon as I get the sewing machine because I figure a kimono is a nice and simple beginning sewing project, and I hope to have it done by April for the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention. From there, I’m going to work on the Final Fantasy Tactic’s flower girl dress to be worn to the Renaissance Festival in May. After that, I hope to have my Presea costume (which I was going to make for Halloween this year but deemed it too difficult and did Aeris instead) by Halloween time. Yay!

It’s kind of dark (I need to get some lightbulbs), but I wanted to show off the cool twinkly lights.

It may not be as cool as this guys’s lights, but I like them! ^_^

I lived a video game today.

Okay, not really, but I was greatly reminded of one.

It all began as I was driving back to work after my lunch break. I stopped at a gas station, because my fuel indicator was teetering precariously below the red line. I turn the car off, get out, and swipe my credit card. “See cashier,” the display read. Grumbling, I lock my car and go inside. I get my gas paid for, come back out, and pump the gas. Then I go fumbling for my keys. Not in my jacket. Not in my purse. Oh, yeah…I left them in the ignition. Great.

I go back inside. I call work to let them know I’m going to be late. Then I call Ben, since he has my spare key. He left his keys at home.

So in order to get in my car, I need to go to the apartment, get a lock-out key, get in the apartment, get Ben’s keys, give back the lock-out key, go back to my car and use Ben’s keys to get my keys.

Like I said, it’s one of those hokey-pokey video game puzzles.

I eventually got back to work after Ernie so graciously came and got me to carry out this intricate puzzle.

Birthday party recap…

I got to Chili’s at 9:00, and the hostess told me there was a table with a large group of people that should leave within 15 minutes. In the meantime, we were seated at a booth. I was going to wait till we could move to the table before I ordered any food or anything. In the meantime, some more people showed up and we spilled over onto a table next to the booth. And more people, which didn’t fit. These people were never going to leave that table. Around 11:00, we decide they are never going to leave, and I’m no longer hungry, so I cancel my order of chicken crispers that hadn’t yet arrived that I’d ordered at like 10:00 and go for the cake. They say they are out of cake. The sole reason we went to Chili’s in the first place.

What to do? We decide to call another Chili’s. Luckily, Ashley has the phone number of the Chili’s on the strip stored in her phone. We call them. They have cake but they close at midnight. We decide to place a to-go order, pick it up, and take it to Patrick Sullivan’s with us.

I entrust Jason with my camera and tell him (for whatever reason) to take pictures of the drive there (see, now you understand the pictures in the photo gallery). Ben and I get in the car with Greg and Faith, get the cake, and meet up with everyone at Patrick Sullivan’s.

Now, I had called ahead earlier to make sure that it was okay to go to Patrick Sullivan’s if we had people under 21 with us. They told me it shouldn’t be a problem. But apparently it was, and Greg and Faith had to leave, since Faith was underage.

Also my camera’s batteries had died, so I don’t have any pics of me and the cake. But after that, Jason and Becka left to go to Walgreens and pick me up some more batteries.

I received a preorder of Final Fantasy IV on GBA from Andy, and Jason and Becka got me a book with the rules to every game imaginable in it. I got a cute Presea figurine from Ben and he says something else is coming. All in all, it was a pretty good birthday.

Today’s my birthday!

We will be celebrating this Friday at Chili’s on Kingston Pike (molten chocolate cake is the best food ever!!).

Also, I will be having a graduation party on the night of December 17 at the manplex.

I’m finally getting to enjoy the 10th season of Friends. It’s been forever since I’ve seen any of these episodes.
