Ben is working tonight so we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday. We received some craft projects at work for the day, so I made him a Valentine’s box (a heart shaped box with a bunch of foam hearts and sequins glued on it) with our photo on it and I filled it with peanut butter M&Ms. Now if only I could stop eating the leftover ones…

MTAC, anyone?

If anyone else is interesting in attending the Middle Tennessee Anime Convention with us, it is still cheaper to buy tickets now than it will be at the door. The convention is April 13-15 and the theme this year is Robots. In addition to the mecha-themed events (which have yet to be announced), there will be, of course, the cosplay contest, the ramen-eating contest, martial arts tracks, video rooms, gaming rooms and tournaments (prob Guitar Hero 2, they haven’t been announced yet), a Protomen concert, and Pocky!!

I currently have a hotel room for both Friday and Saturday nights. However, I may just keep the room for Saturday night only (and just drive there on Friday since it’s only 20 mins away), depending on what’s events are going on Friday night. We can fit another 2-3 people in the room or, if you need to, you can crash at the apartment.

The current pricing is (good until March 17):
Friday only: $18
Saturday only: $20
Sunday only: $12
Any two days: $28
All three days: $32

As you may or may not have noticed, there is a new section on the website.

I finally added a videos section, which has the two videos I have taken with my new digital camcorder I got for Christmas, all edited and set to music. I also put all the short videos that I had previously taken with my digital camera in there and removed them from the photos section. I did leave the comment (there was only one) in tact. The view counters have, however, been reset. The files are all streamed using the Flash plugin, so no need to download huge files in order to watch them.

I’m still testing a few things and working on my admin section, so please let me know if you find any bugs.

I’ve currently enabled comments in the photos section again, but if I start getting spammed again (I was getting a spam comment about every 2 minutes, I had over 500 spam messages I had to delete), then I’m going to turn it off again until I can figure out some way to stop it. This may mean a login script. We’ll see.

It was supposed to snow last night (one to two inches, run to the store and stock up, we’re going to die!!!!) but it didn’t. It seemed to go just south of here. Blah. The only thing winter is good for is snow days.

I finished my Misa costume. I’ve got some pictures up in the cosplay section. There will be more after MTAC.
