More creepy bunnies!

You may remember last year’s Easter post, where I displayed some of the creepiest Easter bunnies I had come across online. Well, a few weeks ago, BuzzFeed had a similar list. They listed some that I hadn’t seen that were, indeed, super scary, so I wanted to share some more with you!

Is this even a bunny?

Some-bunny looks hungry.
enhanced-buzz-16984-1267726929-21

Remember how your mom always told you if you kept making that face, it would get stuck? I think that’s what happened here.

This speaks for itself…
enhanced-buzz-17012-1267727863-22

There is something really creepy about an Easter bunny standing by itself with a balloon. It’s like “It” but without the clown.

What would happen if the Easter Bunny and the Grinch had a baby:
enhanced-buzz-17014-1267730465-15

Yesterday, they also did an article on Sketchy Easter Bunnies with Dogs, which included images like this I’m-about-to-eat-these-dogs bunny:

I think Easter needs a less creepy mascot. Anyone with me?

Why is Santa so creepy?

Remember my post a few months back about creepy Easter Bunnies? If you liked that, you’ll probably appreciate this link.

Why is the Easter Bunny so creepy?

I can’t sleep (perhaps I’ve been thinking about this post too much), so I decided to go ahead and write my Easter post for the year (I say that like it’s an annual thing)…

As a child, I never really liked getting my picture taken with people in costumes. (Which I suppose is ironic, seeing as now I make costumes to wear and have my photo taken with people…) I sometimes wonder if this is because of a traumatic Easter Bunny experience that I don’t remember. I don’t have any photos of myself with said bunny (and I don’t recall ever seeing one, so I’m not sure any exist), but here is proof of the creepiness of the Easter Bunny.

And perhaps the creepiest of all bunnies….

Okay, I’ve always thought that one was Photoshopped because it clearly looks like Santa Claus other than the creepy face.

Anyone out there have a traumatic bunny experience?

Happy 2009!

I hope everyone had a great new year’s celebration. Like last year, Ben and I hosted a party at the house. It. Was. Crazy.

Pretty much, at any given time (minus early on), I could probably only name 60% of the people there.

Casualties included one champagne glass (that I know of), one Xbox 360 memory card (we think maybe someone stepped on it?), one deck of Star Wars playing cards (something was spilled on them), and my entire living room (which was victim to someone shaking a bottle of champagne and then opening it in the middle of the room). And, of course, practically every floor in the house is sticky. And there are a bunch of used fireworks and sparklers laying in my front yard.

The lens fell out of Ben’s glasses at one point during the night, and we were sure it would be among the casualties, but, luckily, I found it laying in the middle of the floor.

But, for the most part, I had fun (you know, minus the being upset that everything in my living room is now covered with speckles of stickiness–including all three of my cameras).

Ben and I gave and received our early Christmas gifts: iPhones.

I am absolutely LOVING it. I’m fairly certain I can never, ever get bored ever again. Here are some of the apps I’ve downloaded: (These are all free.)

Facebook: A must for any Facebook addict, such as myself. Coolest feature? Click on the photo icon, take a picture, and it automatically sends it to Facebook.

Urbanspoon: This was recommended by a coworker. The built-in GPS detects where you are, then you shake the phone to have it choose a random restaurant near you. You can lock in your location, cuisine type, and/or price point. For example: I am in downtown and I want Italian for cheap. Urbanspoon says Venito’s Pizza on Church St. You can also read reviews of the restaurants and vote whether you like it or not.

Banking: This app only works with certain banks, but luckily SunTrust is one of them. Best feature? I can transfer money easily and quickly between my accounts for those days when there’s just not quite enough there.

Stanza: Read books on your phone! Who needs a Kindle? There’s a decent selection of classic books (about half of the ones I searched for were available) and contemporary ones as well.

Last.fm: As a longtime Last.fm user, this was a must. I can find and listen to recommended music easily.

Labyrinth LE: I used to have one of the wooden Labyrinth games and this works just as well. The motion sensors in the phone are incredibly sensitive, allowing precise movements.

Frotz: A great one for interaction fiction fans (think Zork). There’s a good selection of text-based adventures here to keep me occupied for months.

Midomi: I haven’t actually put this one to the test yet, but it identifies a song for you by sound. That has bound to be useful when you have a few lines from a song stuck in your head but you can’t think of what it is.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. :)

I had a fairly busy day. I helped my mom prepare our Thanksgiving lunch, and let my brother Steve test drive my new car. Then I got to visit with my brothers and their families for a bit, and we ate lunch. I got to see my nephew Alex for the second time. He’s getting so much bigger and stronger. :) I can’t wait to be able to spend more time with him. Immediately after eating, I had to head back toward Nashville to pick up Ben to go to Crossville to visit with his family, whom he hadn’t seen in months. We ate dinner there, and then headed back toward Nashville. Once here, we dug out all the Christmas decorations and put up the tree (after making a trip to Wal-mart for some more red lights, since we couldn’t figure out which bulb was causing them not to work on my current strand, and firewood). Ben started a fire in the fireplace, which was very cozy. I took some pictures.

Next year I think I need a taller tree.

Updates..

Probably stupidly, I bought two second row seats and meet-and-greet passes to the Blue Man Group show. So, now in addition to the eight tickets I had, I’ve got two more and backstage passes. Invitations to all the parties are going out as soon as I can drag myself to the post office to buy stamps. So watch your mailbox. :) Kids are welcome to come to the afternoon housewarming party on the 17th, but you probably don’t want them sticking around past 7:00 or so, since that’s when the after-party is starting. For those who have asked, I am registered at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and have a TargetList at Target, and of course, there’s always my Amazon wish list which I recently updated.

I also (finally) started work on my Halloween costume. I went and bought fabric Tuesday, my wig came in yesterday, and I started cutting the pieces out and realized that I forgot to buy matching thread. So I’ve got to do that today and get a zipper as well. I have to have this done before Saturday night, so no pressure or anything. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to post any pictures or tell you what it is (although some people already know) until after Halloween because I’ve got to keep people at work in the dark. 8)

As far as the house goes, I’ve still got to paint two more rooms, install the laminate, and then get the carpet guys in there. It’s ridiculous how much carpet costs. My mom and I are going to start work on the laminate this weekend. Hopefully we can get a lot of it done, then I can get the hallway and bathroom painted next week maybe and finish up the laminate so the carpet guys can get in there by the end of the month. I wanted to move in before Halloween, but so far it looks like it may be the weekend after Halloween. So that will give me two weeks to get everything put where I want it before the housewarming party. Thankfully, I’ve got a lot of three and four day weekends in November. I need some rest. Then I get to start thinking about Christmas shopping (which I’ve normally already started by this time of year, but I’ve got way too much other stuff occupying my thoughts at the moment).

When I came into work this morning, this was on my desk:

Fruit Flower

From the Customer Service Department. :)

Ben is working tonight so we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Friday. We received some craft projects at work for the day, so I made him a Valentine’s box (a heart shaped box with a bunch of foam hearts and sequins glued on it) with our photo on it and I filled it with peanut butter M&Ms. Now if only I could stop eating the leftover ones…

I hope everyone’s holidays went well!

I put up some pictures from this past weekend. Chance and Kelley moved into their new apartment and we traveled to Knoxville on Saturday to attend their apartment-warming party. Then, we traveled to see Ben’s family and my family on Christmas eve and Christmas day. However, there are very few pictures from Christmas because….I received a camcorder!! So, I may need to put a new “Videos” section on the site, hehe. I need to get a cable to connect it to the computer, first. And, my computer needs to work (that’s another story).

Well, it’s back to work tomorrow! We’ll be going to Knoxville for New Year’s and then, hopefully, get to stay home for a while. I’m sick of traveling. :)

I can’t believe it’s already November.

Halloween was good. I came in first place in our office costume contest and our department won the haunted house decorating contest (well, we tied with administration anyway). You can see pictures of the office party in the gallery.

My birthday is in less than two weeks. I have no idea what the plans are, but something is scheduled for November 18th. However, this is the day before the Wii comes out, which means at midnight I’m leaving the party to go pick up the system. :D But I don’t really think we’ll be having a Wii-party that night, since I’ll still only have one Wii-mote. I might buy another, but seeing as they are $60 each, I doubt I’ll be getting three extras right away for all that multiplayer goodness.

Speaking of buying stuff, it’s November, so I promise not to buy myself anything other than: Nintendo Wii, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Final Fantasy III. Only cause I have all those pre-ordered. Anything else is fair game if you wish to buy me a present. And, as always, here is my wishlist. Remember to sort by priority! I’d like to buy myself a new outfit for my party but I don’t know if I’ll have the money.

I bought memberships to Dragoncon 2007 today. I was so sad about missing it this year that I went ahead and secured my place in next year’s convention. It is $45 per person right now, the cheapest tickets get and that price goes up on November 15. So if you want to go with us, hurry and get your memberships. Don’t forget, it’s $85 at the door, so $45 doesn’t sound so bad. :)

It’s almost Halloween!

I chose to complete my Esper Terra costume for Halloween this year. It will debut tonight at Jason and Becka’s Halloween party, and I’ll make sure to get some pictures. I haven’t practiced with my face paint yet, so hopefully I’ll be able to make it look good. Then tomorrow night I’ll be wearing it to Melissa and Samantha’s party and to work on Halloween day. :)

I haven’t written since I saw Blue Man Group last Friday, so I will just say that it was spectacularly awesome. If you ever get the chance to see them, please go do so. It was one of the greatest (if not, THE greatest) concert experiences in my life. Tracy Bonham opened for them (I had no idea she was still around) and sang while they were playing some songs on their set. I cannot even begin to describe the experience, other than to say, it was the best thing ever.

Happy 2006!

I hope everyone had a great time bringing in yet another year. You can probably tell I did, from the super silly pictures. And don’t ask why my hair is pink now.

So, board game party on the 28th. New games I have are Alibi and Loaded Questions. They are both pretty fun. I wanted to wait till the party to play them, but we are impatient.

I’ve got Mario Kart DS. My friend code is 146091 502849 if anyone wants to add me. I’m having quite a difficult time getting carts unlocked though, so I’m still a little slow. Be gentle.

Merry Christmas!

Thanks again to everyone for the great gifts. I received A LOT of sewing supplies, so hopefully I can get all these costumes done! Among other things, I also got Dragon Quest VIII with a demo of Final Fantasy XII that I’m about to check out before I crash into bed. The previews of FFXII so far have me a little skeptical, so I’m looking forward to actually checking it out myself. And, of course, Dragon Quest should be cool. I just need a slime controller…

I put some pictures up. I somehow forgot to take pictures of Lydia while I was there, but she looks so different! Last time I was home, she still looked somewhat kitten-like, but she’s a full cat now. She doesn’t seem to remember me at all either. :(

There will be a board game party sometime in January. Probably towards the beginning. Maybe the 6th or 13th.

I hope everyone out there had a great holiday. :)

Some Halloween pictures up.

It was a bit of a Final Fantasy VII themed Halloween. We watched “Advent Children” on Friday night, which I really enjoyed. Definitely going to have to get it on DVD. :)

Happy Valentine’s Day!

And, yes, I know technically it’s not till tomorrow. Ben and I have been celebrating all weekend, since I’m going to be uber-busy with homework tomorrow night.

Last night, we went out to eat at Riverside Tavern. Two steaks, three glasses of champagne, and one chocolate cake later, we left. Hehe. It was a very delicious, yet expensive, meal.

Chance went up to Michigan for the weekend, so in order to keep our minds of off “Tales of Symphonia” (since we’re not supposed to play it unless all three of us are present), we rented a couple games. I’ve been playing “Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean.” It’s pretty cool so far. The battle system took a little getting used to, since it’s all card based, but I’ve gotten the hang of it now. It’s definitely no “Symphonia” though. ;) Ben rented “Ninja Gaiden” again.

Write some more reviews. ;) Ben insisted that I add his stuff to my lists, so there’s some more stuff on there now.

It’s 2005!

Yeah, I know I haven’t written anything in a super long time. I was going to make this great post with all these pictures from New Years, but all the pictures accidentally got deleted. Then I was going to make another great post with the one picture I did have (Kris holding up a sign that reads “I’m sooo sorry”) but I just haven’t found the time to do that yet, so this is all you’re getting.

New Years was pretty cool. Went to a party here in Knoxville, got mildly drunk, beat everyone at Texas Hold ‘Em, drank some champagne, then we drove to Crossville (not me, we had a DD, don’t worry). Unfortunately, we didn’t make it there before midnight (we got there about 12:03), but we almost had two New Years, hehe.

Having a board game party Friday night.

Christmas is going well so far…

I have a ton (and I mean, a ton) of pictures that I’ll post when I get back to Knoxville Sunday night.

I’ve gotten several DVDs (including Shrek 2, Memento, Return of the King), some games, a book, and some other stuff so far.

It’s going fairly well. I’m ready to go home though.

It’s pumpkin carving day!

Check out our ultra-spooky pumpkin! And notice, how in the picture taken with the flash, the ghosts seem drawn to it. ;)

Scary!!! Not as scary!!!

And for some humor, here’s a couple pictures I took of Lydia when I gave her a bath a few weeks ago. And one from where she randomly fell asleep inbetween the couch cushions.

I got a TiVo! *dances*

Here is a pic of someone who just got a TiVo:
Me and my Tivo

Yay!

Now I just have to invest some money into getting some stuff to hack it (namely, an ethernet card and a bigger hard drive). And I will take pictures of everything I do. Yes, I am still obsessed with my camera. Hehe.

Here’s a couple other pics from the time I’ve been at home. One of Critter, who decided to lay down in a Gap box even though she didn’t quite fit, and one of the tree.

Well, I am about to pass out, so I will post more details later.
