More car problems…although this one is actually my fault.

The apartment complex has rows of mailboxes on the side of the main road. There’s about 10-20 mailboxes in each row. So, I was getting the mail yesterday. I got it out of the box and closed the box. As I was setting the mail down in the passenger seat of the car, my foot slipped off the brake pedal, sending the car rolling down the hill. Since I was getting the mail, I was at a slight angle toward the mailboxes, so the side of my car went careening into the boxes before I slammed on the brakes again. Something flew through the window, landing in my lap. Horrified, I looked down, assuming I had just ripped off the door to my neighbor’s mailbox. Instead, it was the driver’s side mirror of my car. Who knew that running into a mailbox at 5 mph could knock off a mirror? So, the driver’s side of my car is in rough shape right now.

Ben and I went to the The Break-Up on Friday night. We both thought it was very good, although Ben was a little iffy about the ending (the acting during it, not the actual story). It was very relatable. Then on Saturday, we went to McClung Museum on campus to view an art exhibit on “The Faithful Samurai,” which was very interesting. After that we went and saw X-Men: The Last Stand. I never saw the second one, but I thought it was okay. Ben, however, said too much was wrong with it and he didn’t really care for it, but he used to read the comics and such, so he would know better than me. :)

I have a hair appointment tomorrow night. I meant to dye my hair beforehand, but I forgot to go get hair dye, so I hope my stylist doesn’t comment on the 2 to 3 inches of roots showing, hehe. Maybe I’ll just get her to dye it, although I usually deem that a waste of money since it comes out looking exactly the same.

Leaving for Atlanta in about 31 hours!!

I’m so excited. I haven’t been on a vacation in forever. And, I know, this is only like a two-day vacation, but it’s better than nothing.

We’re leaving Knoxville around 7:30 on Wednesday morning. Then we’re going to go by the hotel, park the car, hop on Marta, go down to Hi-Fi Buys, and spend all day there at Warped Tour. Then sleep. Next day: Six Flags! I can almost feel the adrenaline rush from the coasters now.

I will be sure to post tons of pictures when I get back. :-D
I still need to do a ton of stuff before we go. Such as, clean out my car, pack, burn some CDs, and I can’t even remember what else. I made a list last night, but I lost it. Meh.

My hair color has been fading. It’s not really black anymore, just dark brown with some dull red streaks. So I redid the red streaks today to intensify them. Except I’m not sure I hit the same places where they were before, because now I seem to have huge chunks of red streaks. The aren’t really streaks anymore I guess. Just chunks. It’s interesting.

Okay, here it is. Me with black hair.

Horrible picture, but you get the idea.

I have found the key to happiness.

And it’s not shopping like I previously believed. Although there is shopping involved.

Hair dying. Nothing is more uplifting. First, you get to go to the store and stare at the hundreds of brands and colors. Then you get to decide which exact shade(s) is perfect for you. You buy it, take it home, follow all the directions, and you come out a different person.

So not only do you get to shop for the perfect item, you also get to completely change your look. What could possibly be better?

My color choices this time were: Starry Night and Red Rays.

I don’t know how it looks yet. I’m doing touchups on Starry Night right now, so I haven’t put the Red Rays in yet. But in an hour or so, I will know. And the thought just really cheers me up.

Blah.

I would like to thank Steve for giving me whatever illness he had while I was in Indiana. ;) I feel blah.

My new hair color is definitely growing on me. It’s a good summer look.

I think I’m gonna go dig through my refrigerator for some Sunny D and rewatch A Perfect Circle on Leno last night. My throat is killing me.

I decided to dye my hair today.

I was going to dye it black with red streaks, but when I got to the the hair dye aisle in Wal-Mart, I chickened out and got dark brown with red highlights instead. Except, I should never go for a career as a hairdresser cause apparently I suck at highlighting. It came out a little more orangey than I wanted. It still looks cool, but not at all what I have been picturing in my head for the past few days. Hmm. I need a haircut.

So, yeah…

I’m not very good at keeping this updated. But, then again, I don’t do much ‘cept sit around. My best friend Sabrina is visiting me this week. We are going to dye each others’ hair sometime. I’m dying mine the same color that I dyed it last December. So that should be fun. My mom will also be visiting this weekend. I must remember to tell her to bring Phantasmagoria. I’ve had a huge urge to play it. Don’t really know why.
